A series of conversations about love  for a Valentine's day special

Love is a complex and beautiful emotion that takes many forms. On Valentine's Day, we take a moment to celebrate the different types of love that bring joy and fulfillment to our lives. To celebrate this special occasion, we spoke with different inspiring women from our community to learn about their passions and the love they have for them. Love for Teaching is the episode 3 from this series.

We are very happy to have with a conversation with Anindita Bhattacharya a talented artist who is not only known for her captivating work but also for her love and dedication towards teaching.  With more than 20 years of experience as an artist and educator, Anindita has impacted the lives of many young artists, sharing her knowledge and expertise in the field. Today, we speak with Anindita about her love for teaching .

I.C.W.  Anindita, when was your love for teaching born?

A.B.  At a very early age, when I was in high school, there was an event. In that special event, high school students will teach middle school students. That day all the teachers appreciated my teaching skills and not only that, but the students also loved it very much. Later, I started giving biology classes with very good results. Since then I love to teach and learn more through the process.

I.C.W What motivates you to become an art teacher?

My motivation for that is my love for art and my desire to share that love with others. I am very much passionate about art and want to inspire my students to explore and create art. I enjoy the journey of each student, and the development of their creative abilities, critical thinking skills, and self-expression.

I.C.W : How important is the integration of love in the classroom for student growth and development?

A.B.: The integration of love in the classroom can be extremely important. Love in the classroom can create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel valued, respected and accepted. When students feel cared for and appreciated, they are more likely to take risks, they feel confident and can be more engaged in their learning.

I.C.W In your experience, what are the most rewarding aspects of teaching for you?
A.B: Teaching is a highly rewarding profession . One of the most fulfilling aspects of teaching is seeing students grow and develop both academically and personally.

ICW.  Anindita, You founded and art school in the Netherlands, Color Your Dreams, What is your most memorable experience teaching arts to kids in NL?

A.B Last week, one of my little Artists surprised her father with her canvas painting on his birthday. When she presented that to her father her expression made it evident how happy and proud she was feeling. Another part was the pride and happiness expressed by her father while acknowledging that gift. Compliments like this make all the experiences memorable and motivate me to do things better.

Thanks Anindita for sharing your love story. Happy Valentine's day
