Activities at Creative Town

Come join us as we work from images to strengthen our observation skills and produce some beautiful animal sketches.

Boost your drawing skills, learn simple tips for creating lively animals, and get over your fear of making mistakes whilst drawing!

No drawing experience necessary; we’ll provide everything for you to learn useful techniques under the guidance of professional illustrator Laura Carter.

So whether you've sketchbooks full of your drawings, or haven't picked up a pencil since school, you'll find this a fun session to boost your skillset.

We'll be working on plain paper with high-quality monotone pencils. If you prefer to work in your own sketchbook, feel free to bring it.

This training programme, developed by the GrowthFundME project (funded by the European Commission, Erasmus Plus programme) is designed to help you build the confidence, skills and knowledge to get your new project of the ground and start making a difference in your community.

During this workshop, you will learn how to master the art of crowdfunding and unleash the power of community support for your projects. From crafting compelling campaigns to engaging backers, you wil be guided through every step of the process.

This single-session workshop invites you to connect with the simple beauty of natural fibres and enjoy a relaxing time alongside other creative souls in a calm, friendly environment.

During the workshop, you’ll learn about the origins of weaving and explore various materials we can use. You’ll also learn to read a pattern and weave your own mini stool in the colours of your choice, which you can take home afterward.

All materials, drinks, and snacks are provided! All you need to do is reserve your spot and join us for this enriching experience.

Romy is an artist with more than 10 experience in weaving on various types of frames and looms, and she constantly learns new techniques.

The Empowered Childbirth Class is a evidence-based class that prepares you for the transformative experience of birth and enables you to confidently enter parenthood. We will answer the following key questions:

-How do I know labor has begun?

-How can I manage pain during labor?

-What are my options during labor and birth?

-How can I communicate effectively with my care team?

As an experienced nurse and childbirth educator, Anna Latham brings a wealth of knowledge to support expat families through pregnancy and birth.  Her unique blend of medical expertise, cultural sensitivity, and passion for empowering parents makes this class an invaluable resource for navigating pregnancy in a foreign country.

A Journey of Artistic Self-Discovery

This collective exhibition brings together two talented artists, Yma Sumac Gonzales and Özlem Nurver, as they explore the theme of self-discovery through their unique artistic perspectives. “Finding Myself” invites visitors to witness the personal journeys of these artists as they navigate their inner worlds, memories, and creative impulses.

Yma Sumac Gonzalez is a multidisciplinary artist from Lima, Peru, presents a captivating body of work that spans several creative disciplines. Her artistic journey has led her to explore painting, ceramics, illustration, photography and fashion design, resulting in a rich and diverse portfolio.

Özlem Nurver is a Turkish artist who recently relocated to the Netherlands, brings a fresh and evolving perspective to the exhibition. With over two decades of experience as a graphic designer, Özlem has now shifted her focus to painting as a means of artistic expression.

This two-hour workshop is perfect for makers attending holiday markets who want to create a captivating stall that attracts and delights shoppers.

Learn how to create a “wow” stall that attracts visitors and boosts sales. Discover tips on designing a visually appealing layout, showcasing your products effectively, and engaging customers with confidence.
