A series of conversations about love for a Valentine's day special

Love is a complex and beautiful emotion that takes many forms. On Valentine's Day, we take a moment to celebrate the different types of love that bring joy and fulfillment to our lives. To celebrate this special occasion, we spoke with different inspiring women from our community to learn about their passions and the love they have for them. Love for Helping the community is the episode 6 from this series.

Meet Gabriela Ley, a passionate and dedicated community builder who has been at the forefront of creating impactful change. As a member of the International Creative Women team since its inception, Gabriela has been instrumental in the success and growth of this empowering community. With a heart full of love and a steadfast commitment to helping others, Gabriela is a true inspiration.

In this episode, she shares her journey and her unwavering dedication to making a difference in the world through volunteering and helping the community.

Gabi started helping around the community when she had her daughter. She realized that creating a sense of compromise and union within the community is one of the main foundations that help our children to develop themselves in a safe and familiar environment.

Her usual way of helping others is by lending support to any initiatives or organizations that focus on working with children and women. For 6 years She has been team leader of a group of volunteers helping children in projects of the Eindhoven’s library.

Gabi also assists internationals as a translator, recognizing that a smooth integration into the Dutch culture and a strong grasp of the language are crucial for individuals to feel comfortable and fully embrace the Netherlands as their new home.

When asked about her passion and love for helping others, Gabi's face lights up and her smile beams. She replies that the love she receives in return is immense, with countless smiles, hugs, and positive energy, particularly from children.

Gabi believes that giving love leads to receiving it back multiplied, which motivates her to continue her volunteer work. The greatest reward for her is seeing children smile and witnessing people, particularly women, gaining the bravery to overcome challenges and pursue their dreams in new surroundings.
