In this event of 48 hours; Eleven inspiring artists join forces to show the world that there are no limits to expression. Each of them, with different backgrounds, share the same need [feeling part of something bigger] and the same passion [creation]. It is an event hosted by Albert van Abbehuis.
Their conceptions, all together, are just part of a whole. They, themselves, are now part of this whole, of our present, our lives. These citizens of the world have built strong bonds to Eindhoven and firm ties of friendship and cooperation via their creativity. A mix of different arts, poetry, music, paintings photographs spread all over the Albert van Abbehuis.
BLANCA CASANOVA is Spanish, living in The Netherlands with her family since 2020.
She grew up surrounded by art and creativity as the daughter of the sculptor, José María Casanova.
Blanca first explored painting as a form of expression at 20. She experienced diverse creativity stages related to different phases and events in her life: falling in love, marriage, and motherhood.
MARTA TUMINSKA is a Polish artist living in the Netherlands. Her journey began in 2018 when she
dived into her deepest self and discovered a ticking bomb of unexplored emotions and feelings.
Art is helping her to pull out, understand , accept and leave her dark side on the paper or canvas. Marta's works are mostly based on melancholy, feelings, emotions, thoughts and death because: isn't death also part of our life?
CHARLOTTE MOSSMANN was born in France. She grew up in Africa and The Caribbean and has also lived in Asia and the USA.
Charlotte uses creativity to express gratitude and bear witness to the beauty of the world. Through her need to create she has built her own unique artistic identity, inspired by her multicultural background, which she expresses by writing novels, poetry and various visual mediums of expression such as murals, notebooks, Leporellos and paper.
LAURA RODRÍGUEZ is a Mexican artist living in The Netherlands who explores the impact of technology on culture and identity.
She explores in her work the themes of the subconscious, empathy, and bio-politics, combining scientific processes with narratives and emotional expressions.
What does it mean to be human in today’s technological world?
HENRIETT BREZINSKI is an art therapist and an autodidact artist of Hungarian origin.
Creativity is her healing, for her to communicate her essence through colours, shapes and emotions,
transmitted by her paintings.
Her paintings express a feeling, an ambiance, a scent, a sound, an experience -the least tangible aspects of life, of ephemerality at a subconscious level.
AMANDA BURKOVSKI was born in Curitiba (Brazil). She obtained her MA in Art History in 2017 from the Academy of Art University (USA).
Amanda’s work represents various forms of human connection, from blunt demonstrations of affection to connections almost too imperceptibly subtle for the naked to eye.
All of the portraits Amanda exhibits here are of women who inspire her artistry and played important formative roles in her development.
ANDREEA NAE is a Romanian architect, watercolourist and educator living in Eindhoven. Her watercolour technique is very loose, often full of splatters for a “messy” effect, and her style is vibrant
and bold.
Andreea paints different types of subjects: portraits, animals, florals and cityscapes. Considering her background in Architecture and her love of travel, she prefers to paint cityscapes. A sketchbook is never far from her hand
KARA FROST (b. 1981) is an artist originally from the United States and now based in Eindhoven. Her work combines painting, drawing and collage to form playful and dreamlike compositions.
She is drawn to the emotive qualities of delicate lines and ephemeral materials, but seeks calm through order, balance and clean shapes. By joining found papers with meditative drawings, she mixes the past and the present to create a new story, just as we do in our human experience
GREG CORCORAN is British. He uses the travel opportunities that Eindhoven offers -and that the ties of friendship made here - to develop his interest in landscape photography both with large scale prints, in which he seeks to invite the viewer into the images, and digitally published camera-phone images, which he finds more effective in communicating his travel experiences.
He post processes the images to imbue them with the emotion of the moment to express his perception at that time.
SOFIA YOTOVA aka Octophina is a Bulgarian abstract artist, creative coach, and mental health educator. Octophina’s life was accidentally saved by her making art when, at 32, she found herself close
to the edge.
She started doodling during an episode of suicidal depression to tell visual stories about her painful experiences. Her doodles unexpectedly empowered her to re-sculpt her identity, redesign her reality, and re-write her story.
ALEJANDRA MEDINA is a Mexican artist whose work is inspired by nature, animals, people and places.
She loves to paint the human figure the most, especially the face and its expressions.
Her painting is also about exploring subjects and trying new things.
Developing a style is a long-term objective.
