Being an entrepreneurial woman is rewarding, but we know this is not easy and it's even harder to do it in another country where a different language is spoken.
As many women who came from another country to Eindhoven, I've had to reinvent myself. I left Brazil almost 2 years ago, i left behind my family and my career as an accountant.
After some months in The Netherlands, I started The Favorite Sweets, a company that creates Brazilian sweets!.
I started the company as way to get personal satisfaction and to share the passion and the flavors of Brazil. It hasn't been an easy path, considering the differences in culture, language and taste. This path is full of ears and insecurities for many International women
Sometimes a little push is needed, and that's when the International Creative Women's community emerged. This community has been listening the struggles, the fears, and the wins as well. They support and promote small creative entrepreneurs to kickstart their own entrepreneurial pursuits.
The major drivers of this wonderful project are Sally and Yolima. They have brought hope and self-confidence to many women, bringing new insight to the business, influencing trends and above all encouraging other women to pursue their dreams.
